Thursday's (4-30-09) Practice Time
Practice for Thursday (4-30-09) will be 3:30 to 5:30.
A note about the blog and the blog generated emails. Emails from the blog are only sent once each day. I have the delivery time for these emails set at 7am-9am.
Today I posted the practice cancellation on the blog after 1pm. Those who are checking the blog daily before they leave for practice were able to save themselves an unnecessary trip. Please try to check the blog daily for last minute changes. All of today's post (Wednesday) will arrive in an email to you in the morning (Thursday). So on Thursday when you receive an email that includes the post from Wednesday that says PRACTICE CANCELLED please give attention to the time and date that the message was posted to avoid confusion.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
Spread the word to your circle of friends to make sure everyone has subscribed to the blog.
Go Jags!

So far - so ...mixed
After off season conditioning, mini-camp and two spring practices the NOAH JAGS football program's outlook is very promising. There are a lot of quality young men with athletic ability competing as Jaguars. Our effort and intensity were good for the first two practices. Our coaching staff believes we are ahead of where we were at this time last year in a lot of areas. We also believe there is MUCH room still to improve.
On another note - I want to express my thanks to our coaching staff (Steve Gastelum, Ben Harris, Gary Woodson, and Tyler Brown -as well as some former players who have helped) for all of their effort and sacrifice. I want to say thank you to Danae Fayard and the team of helpers she has recruited for various tasks.
HOWEVER - WE ARE DESPERATELY IN NEED OF AN EQUIPMENT MANAGER - who could help fit, repair and manage the equipment for the players. After mini camp and two practices - I have lost over 30 minutes that I could have been coaching and another hour plus after practice taking care of and addressing equipment issues. Having quality help in this area last year was an important part of our program's success in 2008 and will be key to the success of 2009. It is also a pivotal component in keeping our coaches and their families positive about doing what they are best at.
Attached is a job description for our equipment manager. If you can help, please let me know by email of your interest.
Sincerely,
Coach Joe Blankenship

Guidelines for NOAH Practice Fields
Here are the rules that we must follow:
I know that the list seems long and harsh but we must honor our agreement.
If you have any questions, please let me help.
GO JAGS!
Danae Fayard
- No parking on the grass.
- No pets.
- No parking behind the buildings except to load/unload.
- No parking in the driveway. This is for Drop Off/Pick Up only.
- Park your vehicle as close to the street (129 th) as you can. We want to allow the congregation to park closest to the church.
- Pick up your trash! Make sure that we don't leave any trash anywhere on the property.
- Please stay off the front porch of the church building and away from all church buildings.
- We have no bathroom facilities at the field. Do not try to enter the church to use the facilities. You can use Quiktrip (81st and Garnet) or Walgreens (91st).
- Please stay off of the Baseball field. They have seeded and fertilized the baseball field and are working hard to keep it in great shape. Everyone, please walk around the baseball field and do not climb or play on the baseball backstop.
- No unsupervised children should be anywhere on the property. We are allowed to use the fenced playground as long as our children have adult supervision. In the evenings the church may need to ask you to leave the playground so that they can start their church activities. The ladies who run the program will let us know when we need to exit.
I know that the list seems long and harsh but we must honor our agreement.
If you have any questions, please let me help.
