Coach Sabatini

Message From The Pre-Game Meal Coordinator-High School Teams

Pre-Game Meals for the High School Team

Noah Families:

To our new families - “Welcome.” To our returning families - “it’s that time of year again.” Can’t you just smell the football season in the air?

Let me take a moment to introduce myself.  My name is Sharon Craig - I will be coordinating the pregame meals this year. The coaches request that each family participate in providing the team with a quick meal before each game (JV and Varsity). It usually consists of sandwiches, fruit, and bottled water. There have been times where families have provided chips, cheese, granola bars, and other healthy snacks, but we mainly ask that each family do at least sandwiches, fruit, and bottled water.   Our roster is significantly smaller than in previous years, and we are requesting that each family participate in the pregame meals, regardless of other areas of services.

Many of you signed up at the parent meeting, but some of you were not available and I still need to get your names on the schedule. If you did not sign up, I will be contacting you to find out what dates would work best for you.

An email notice will be sent out each week with your name and what you are bringing.  I’ll try to make it as easy as possible for you, all you need to do is put your food item in a cooler (put your name on cooler) and bring to the drop off place (the place where Coach Joe designates that the team will be leaving from). We will then transport the ice chests to the game site.  Just make sure your player remembers to pickup your cooler to take home.

We are requesting that each family sign up for two sandwich slots, two fruit slots, and one water slot.

Sandwiches (15 per slot)
Please bring sandwiches fully made in labeled sandwich bags. Some players do not like condiments, so you may consider leaving a few plain. Some players do not eat pork, so keep that in mind, as well as some players that may have peanut allergies. So for those reasons, it is imperative that the bags be labeled.

Fruit (15 Pcs. per slot)
Some fruit that the players prefer are: bananas, grapes, apples, oranges. I realize it is difficult to buy a bag of apples/oranges that has 15 in the bag, so just cut them in half. A cluster of grapes in a sandwich bag works great.

Water (1/case per slot) Please bring the water iced down.

I will be sending all notices out through my email address. So if you have a blocker on receiving emails, please add me to your contact list. I also ask that you simply reply to my email acknowledging that you did receive the notice. It is very difficult for me to have to call you to verify, so please make every effort to simply hit the ‘reply’ button to let me know.

Please do not reply to this blog post email.  Please email me directly with my email address below.

Please add my email address to your contacts list, and if you have any concerns or questions, just let me know.

THANK YOU for all your help and support.

NOAH Field Guidelines for all NOAH Athletes

NOAH Field Guidelines

No parking on the grass.
No pets.
No parking behind the buildings except to load/unload.
No parking in the driveway. This is for Drop Off/Pick Up only.
When parking in the paved lot please park your vehicle as close to the street (129 th) as you can. We want to allow the congregation to park closest to the church.
Pick up your trash! Make sure that we don't leave any trash anywhere on the property.
Please stay off the front porch of the church building and away from all church buildings.
We have no bathroom facilities at the field. Do not try to enter the church to use the facilities. You can use Quiktrip (81st and Mingo) or Walgreens (91st).
Please stay off of the Baseball field. They have seeded and fertilized the baseball field and are working hard to keep it in great shape. Everyone, please walk around the baseball field and do not climb or play on the baseball backstop.
No unsupervised children should be anywhere on the property. We are allowed to use the fenced playground as long as our children have adult supervision. In the evenings the church may need to ask you to leave the playground so that they can start their church activities. The ladies who run the program will let us know when we need to exit.
When parking on the North end of the field.  Please drive on the access drive especially when the dirt is wet or muddy.  We have really damaged the grass that is close to the shell/rock drive.  We have been allowed to park on the grass so far but we need to be good stewards and do our best not to damage the grassy areas further.

Parents please discuss these guidelines with your athletes and other children who may be attending the football practices.

NOAH Tackle Football Uniform Guidelines: High School and Junior High

NOAH HS and JH Football Players,

Coach Joe wanted me to remind you of his requirements for the game uniforms.

The jerseys are very expensive and we need them to last as long as possible.

So just a few simple guidelines to help us keep the uniforms in good condition.

Please wash your uniform as soon as you can after each use to prevent staining. (not Thursday night)

Please don't dry your game jerseys or black game pants in the clothesdryer.

Hang dry only.

Coach is allowing you to take them home but they are only to be worn on game day.

You are responsible for the jerseys so they may not be worn by anyone else but you. (Not your girlfriend, mother, sister, brother, etc.)

Any neglect or abuse will require your parents to replace the jersey.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Danae

Bus Drivers Needed!

NOAH Football Families:

We are in great need for a few fathers who might be able to help us with driving the team bus.

A CDL license is required and if you don't have one we will pay for you to take the exam.

If you have a CDL and would like to help out please give me a call.  It would be nice to have several drivers who could rotate so that it doesn't fall on just one or two.

Please pray about helping the team with this need.

Go Jags!!!

First Games of the Season

We have our first games of the season this week for junior high and varsity.  Our games on Friday will be held at Broken Arrow South Intermediate High School at 301 West New Orleans, Broken Arrow.

The junior high games will start at 4:30 pm.  Varsity game will start at 7:30 pm.

I will be at the practice field on Tuesday during the high school practice.  If you need to make a fee payment you may do so then.  If you have joined one of our teams late or just have not been able to pay your football fees in full then we need to have you complete a payment agreement form.  Please contact me so that you can complete the form or your son will not be eligible to play in Friday's game.  NOAH policy is for all fees to be paid before the first game.  The payment agreement form will list a payment schedule decided by you,  that will give our treasurer each weeks expected payment.  For your son to be eligible for that weeks game your payments must be current.  If an emergency arises, of course we can recalculate your agreement.  We just ask that you stay in communication with myself or Dee Helsee our football treasurer.

Have any questions, please let us know.

Go Jags,

    Game Jersey Correction

    CORRECTION!

High School Team should be wearing WHITE game jerseys tonight.

Coach told the team last night white and I heard white I just typed black.

    So sorry!
Please pass the word to bring white jerseys.

    Sorry again,

    Danae

High School Team Change of Plan

We have a bus for tonight's scrimmage.  Everyone needs to meet at the practice field by 5:30pm.  Make sure you eat  because we won't have a pre-game meal for the scrimmages.

Coach wants you to wear your NOAH gear:  gray shirts and blue shorts that was given to you at TU camp.  If you didn't attend TU camp then try to wear a gray or blue NOAH shirt and blue or black shorts.

Don't forget to bring your black game jersey and black game pants with pads.

If you can't ride the bus you must let Coach Joe know.  760-0089

If you are driving yourself to meet the bus at the practice field make sure you park your car closest to the road.  Farthest from the church.

Spread the word to your teammates so that everyone gets the message.

    Go Jags,
    Danae
