Sorry.
Hello Parents,
This is the final deadline for 2012 NOAH Football Program Book. We have had one $50 ad sold by a family this week. Tomorrow is the last day to get your personal ads or business ads turned in. The total so far for the book is $5560. I am sure many of you are like me and wait to the last minute to get things turned in. So I just wanted to remind you to make this a special book for our children, we need to place some encouraging words in the program.

Noah Families:
To our new families - “Welcome.” To our returning families - “it’s that time of year again.” Can’t you just smell the football season in the air?
Let me take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Sharon Craig - I will be coordinating the pre-game meals this year. The coaches request that each family participate in providing the team with a quick meal before each game (JV and Varsity). We will not be doing Varsity Home games this year. It usually consists of sandwiches, fruit, and bottled water. There have been times where families have provided chips, cheese, granola bars, and other healthy snacks, but we mainly ask that each family do at least sandwiches, fruit, and bottled water. Our roster is significantly smaller than in previous years, and we are requesting that each family participate in the pre-game meals, regardless of other areas of services.

Many of you signed up at the parent meeting, but some of you were not available and I still need to get your names on the schedule. If you did not sign up, I will be contacting you to find out what dates would work best for you.
An email notice will be sent out each week with your name and what you are bringing. I’ll try to make it as easy as possible for you, all you need to do is put your food item in a cooler (put your name on cooler) and bring to the drop off place (the place where Coach G designates that the team will be leaving from). We will then transport the ice chests to the game site. Just make sure your player remembers to pickup your cooler to take home.
We are requesting that each family sign up for two sandwich slots, two fruit slots, and one water slots.
Sandwiches (15 per slot)
Please bring sandwiches fully made in labeled sandwich bags. Some players do not like condiments, so you may consider leaving a few plain. Some players do not eat pork, so keep that in mind, as well as some players that may have peanut allergies. So for those reasons, it is imperative that the bags be labeled.
Fruit (15 Pcs. per slot)
Some fruit that the players prefer are: bananas, grapes, apples, oranges. I realize it is difficult to buy a bag of apples/oranges that has 15 in the bag, so just cut them in half. A cluster of grapes in a sandwich bag works great.
Water (1/case per slot) Please bring the water iced down.
I will be sending all notices out through my email address. So if you have a blocker on receiving emails, please add me to your contact list. I also ask that you simply reply to my email acknowledging that you did receive the notice. It is very difficult for me to have to call you to verify, so please make every effort to simply hit the ‘reply’ button to let me know.
DO NOT reply to any of the coaching staff or administrative staff (ie Danae Fayard).
Please add my email address to your contacts list, and if you have any concerns or questions, just let me know.
Some of you have already signed up but if you haven’t or aren’t sure of when you did drop me a line or call.
THANK YOU for all your help and support.

Junior High & High School families: all fees for the 2012 football season are due before the first game (September 1st). Please be sure your check memo notes your player’s name & JH or HS. Checks should be made out to NOAH Football. Please do not give checks to coaches.
If you are not sure how much is still due, please contact Liz via email:Liz@WalkWorthy.us .
Payments may be given to Laurie Boyne or Liz Garrison at the high school practice or to Shelley Roberts at the junior high practice.

High School Team Practice Change
Dear Families,
To stay ahead of the setting sun, I need to change our practice times. Starting as late as we have been enabled us to avoid practicing in the hottest part of the day. Now the temperatures are tolerable but we’re losing daylight. Practice next week will be as follows:
Mon, Tu, Th, Fri. 5:30pm – 7:30pm
Wed 4:00pm – 5:30pm
I hope this does not cause any hardship on your part and thank you for your understanding !

Game Program Update
Hello Parents and Players,
I just wanted to give you an update on where we stand in regards to the funds raised by the Game Day Program. I appreciate all of your efforts to sell ads. As of today, we still have ads coming in so if you can sell more we will still take ads. We have sold $5,205 in ads so far. This is great considering we have a smaller number of players on our teams this year.
I have some companies in mind that I would like one of you to volunteer to contact them and see if they can help NOAH football through a donation of money or food. If you would be willing to contact one of these companies, please let me know ASAP by emailing me at noahprogram@gmail.com. You can start with the internet and see if you can find their marketing person. Just Google search the company name and marketing in Tulsa and you may find the person you need to contact within the company.
Generous Corporations
Quick Trip - See if they would like to buy an ad or give a donation of sandwiches to our players on one of the away or home game nights, or sponsor us in some way.
Restuarants - See if they will donate food to our players on game nights or buy an ad.
Sonic - Let them know where we play home football games. (East of 101st & Elm Pl) They have a store near our field and we could let our families know of their support of our team and they would have some business from those attending our football games.
Applebees- We raised $2000 last year with our pancake breakfast. We just need someone to contact them and a team of 2-4 parents to help cook and coordinate the event. Shelley Roberts has all the information from last year. They have a website that you can visit to set it up and see how it works.
· Chick-fil-A - See if we can set up a Spirit Night where they donate part of their profits for one evening that is set aside for NOAH Football.
Mazzio’s - See if we can set up a Spirit Night where they donate part of their profits for one evening that is set aside for NOAH Football.
Arbys - See if we can set up a Spirit Night where they donate part of their profits for one evening that is set aside for NOAH Football.
Rib Crib - See if we can set up a Spirit Night where they donate part of their profits for one evening that is set aside for NOAH Football.
Department Stores
Walmart - I requested a donation form from the Walmart at 71st & 145th and they gave us a $50 gift card. Some Walmart locations operate differently and you must go online to apply for a donation. It won't take long. They give out their money at the first of the month so get your request in before the first so you may have a chance at more.
Academy Sports – They have a program where schools can apply for a donation to a sports program in the form of a Gift Card. Each store operates independently, so you will need to go to the store location & speak with the manager for instructions on how to apply for the gift. This gift card can then be used by our coaching staff to purchase needed equipment.
Other stores to approach about purchasing an ad or for other assistance:
Dick’s Sporting Goods
Sports Authority
Target
Radio Stations
KXOJ - See if they will buy an ad or come and have a live show at our last home football game. I know they did football games last year.
KCFO
Be creative…See if you can think of other businesses to approach about supporting the NOAH Football team…either by buying an ad in the Program or by participating in some other form of assistance.
Thank you!

High School Scrimmage- Thursday Night
This weeks high school scrimmage will be held at Victory Christian School at 7700 South Lewis Ave, Tulsa.
For those of you who are not familiar with the Victory Campus this might help. If you are driving South on Lewis? When you pass 71 st. the first entrance to the campus is the one that you want. So that would be the northern entrance to the campus. Turn into the entrance and continue pass the practice fields (3). When you see a metal building on the right you will continue around to the right and you should be able to see the stadium. The football stadium in on the North West corner of the campus.
The Scrimmage starts at 6 pm but Coach G wants all players there no later than 5 pm.
The Victory scrimmage is always a good one. Come out and support the Jags!
GO JAGS!
Last Friday night your NOAH Jaguar football team participated in a scrimmage at Sapulpa with Sapulpa, Edison, and Central high schools. Our coaches were very encouraged with the performance of our team on many levels. We still have a lot of hard work ahead of us. Something we have been talking about since last spring is that we are going to be the best that we can be! And when we reach that level, to realize that we can be even better! Our conditioning is on track. We played a lot of players on both offense and defense so they did not have much rest. Our players did what they were asked to do…they physically spent themselves while remaining mentally alert!
This week, we will scrimmage at Victory Christian. It will be just the two teams. I encourage you to come and support these young men, and see for yourself what the 2012 Jaguar football team is all about.
I am proud of our young men and excited about the direction of this team! Thank you for letting us be a part of your young men’s lives!
Coach G and the Varsity Football Coaching Staff
Looks like we have gotten off to a great start!
At this time Coach G has closed the high school roster. We still have room on our junior high and elementary teams.

Game Program Update
Please be a booster of the NOAH Jaguar football team!
NOAH is the Northeastern Oklahoma Association of Homeschools.
The NOAH Jaguar Football Program continues to grow in reputation and
achievement. Last year the Jaguars won their fourth consecutive homeschool
national championship (MaxPreps and National Private School Athletic
Association recognized NOAH as the best homeschool football team in the
nation). The players and coaches are anticipating another great season in
2012. The Jaguars will play games against 3A semi-finalists Metro Christian
Academy, Verdigris, Tulsa Memorial High, Hennessey High, Oklahoma Christian
School in Edmond, Watonga High, Springfield Lighthouse Academy, Dallas
Blue Angels HSAA and Union JV.
We need your help to complete our football program. The NOAH Jaguar football
teams represent the homeschool community for all of Northeastern Oklahoma.
There are an estimated 33,000 homeschooled students in Oklahoma with over
half of those in Northeastern Oklahoma.
Your ad will reach many families that will see & appreciate your
contribution to the NOAH organization. Ads can also be placed by family &
friends simply to support the team or individual players. Depending on page
size and color, ads are $25-500 and Corporate Sponsorships with additional
benefits are also available for $350 for one color and $500 for full color
(details on the Ad Layout attachment). We hope you will want to show your
support by advertising in the football program that will be available to
fans during home Varsity and Junior High games.
The proceeds from program sales assist the team with travel, meals, camps,
quality equipment, and other needs that arise throughout the season.
If you would like to be included in the 2012 football program, please use
the attached form to make sure we have all the pertinent information.
Include your artwork and/or logos that you would like in your ad. Ads will
be formatted either with supplied artwork or can be laid out with football
related clip art if you prefer. (If you have questions, please contact our
game program coordinators, Wayne & Tammy Dudley, at

Bus Needed For High School Team Travel
We have been blessed in past years to have the Eastland Baptist Church Buses available to us for our high school team travel needs. We are so very thankful to Pastor Dorrel and his church for such a generous gift to our football program.
Because of the age of their bus fleet they have decided to minimize the use of their fleet.
If your church has a school bus or charter type bus that we may be able to borrow or rent for our travel needs, please let me know.

Football Home Game Program
NOTE: Here's the form for the Program Ad NOAH Program Ad Form
We encourage you to make a list of potential advertisers from people you already know. Send the email/letter to your doctor, dentist, insurance agent, people in your church who are business owners/managers, places of business that you patronize, etc. Many of these folks already have a budget set aside for advertising. This gives them an opportunity to market their business, while helping out a great program for our youth. For best results, follow up your email with a phone call the next day. That personal contact is often the stimulus to a positive response -- the sale of an ad.
Dear Parents and Players,
As most of you are already aware, we are in the process of putting together the 2012 NOAH Football Game Day Book. This program will be a great asset in solidifying the identity of the NOAH Jaguar Football Team…plus it has the potential to raise significant funds for use toward team expenses. Remember…this is our biggest fundraiser of the year. The more ads we sell for the program, the more funds we raise for the team. Time is short for this endeavor, so we urge each of you to get on board & help us sell ads.
So how are you doing in selling ads? I have already contacted most of the people that I sold ads to last year and I have only received one “no”! This week, I plan to follow up with a second phone call to those who have not yet replied, plus I am always on the lookout for new prospects to contact about becoming NOAH sponsors with an ad in the program.
In order to help make it easier for you to sell ads, we have prepared the letter below for you to forward on to your friends, acquaintances & business contacts. This email/letter has two forms attached to aid our advertisers in choosing the size of ad they wish to purchase & for providing the necessary information for us to include their ad in the program. You will simply forward this email to potential advertisers, deleting this introductory message (Black text) before you send.

If each family connected to the program sets a goal to sell one to three pages of ads, we can match last year’s success...& even exceed it! The time to sell is very short. Please send the letter below to as many friends, relatives and businesses that you can.
God gave His favor to this project last year. Let’s pray for His help again this year…and go sell ads!
Thanks,
Tammy Dudley
