NOAH Football 10th Anniversary Game Program

Dear Parents and Players,

It’s time to start putting together the 2013 NOAH Football Game Day Book. This program will be a great way to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the NOAH Jaguar Football Team…plus it has the potential to raise significant funds for use toward team expenses. Remember, this is our biggest fundraiser of the year. The more ads we sell for the program, the more funds we raise for the team. We have four weeks to work on this project, so we urge each of you to get on board & help us sell ads.

In order to help make it easier for you to sell ads, we have prepared the letter below for you to forward on to your friends, acquaintances & business contacts. This email/letter has links to two forms to aid our advertisers in choosing the size of ad they wish to purchase & for providing the necessary information for us to include their ad in the program. You will simply forward this email to potential advertisers, deleting this introductory message before you send.

We encourage you to make a list of potential advertisers from people you already know. Send the email/letter to your doctor, dentist, insurance agent, people in your church who are business owners/managers, places of business that you patronize, etc. Many of these folks already have a budget set aside for advertising. This gives them an opportunity to market their business, while helping out a great program for our youth. For best results, follow up your email with a phone call the next day. That personal contact is often the stimulus to a positive response -- the sale of an ad. Also please print off copies of the forms so you will have information available for potential advertisers when you visit them.

If each family connected to the program sets a goal to sell one to three pages of ads, we can match last year’s success and continue to keep football fees as low as possible. The time to sell is short because football season is almost here. Please send the letter below to as many friends, relatives and businesses that you can.

In order to send the letter below to potential advertisers, press FORWARD, then delete everything above this line before sending. Also personalize the letter by putting your name at the bottom.

Please be a booster of the NOAH Jaguar football team!

NOAH is the Northeastern Oklahoma Association of Homeschools.

The NOAH Jaguar Football Program continues to grow in reputation and
achievement. The Jaguars have won multiple homeschool
national championships (MaxPreps and National Private School Athletic
Association recognized NOAH as the best homeschool football team in the
nation). The players and coaches are anticipating another great season in
2013.  The Jaguars will play games against 3A semi-finalists Metro Christian
Academy, Verdigris, Tulsa Memorial High, Hennessey High, Oklahoma Christian
School in Edmond, Watonga High, Springfield Lighthouse Academy, Dallas
Blue Angels HSAA and Union JV.

We need your help to complete our football program. The NOAH Jaguar football
teams represent the homeschool community for all of Northeastern Oklahoma.
There are an estimated 33,000 homeschooled students in Oklahoma with over
half of those in Northeastern Oklahoma.

Your ad will reach many families that will see & appreciate your
contribution to the NOAH organization.  Ads can also be placed by family &
friends simply to support the team or individual players.  Depending on page
size and color, ads are $25-500 and Corporate Sponsorships with additional
benefits are also available for $350 for one color and $500 for full color
(details on the Ad Layout attachment).  We hope you will want to show your
support by advertising in the football program that will be available to
fans during home Varsity, Junior High and Elementary games.

The proceeds from program sales assist the team with travel, meals, camps,
quality equipment, and other needs that arise throughout the season.

If you would like to be included in the 10th Anniversary, 2013 football program, please use the attached form to make sure we have all the pertinent information.
Include your artwork and/or logos that you would like in your ad. Ads will
be formatted either with supplied artwork or can be laid out with football
related clip art if you prefer. (If you have questions, please contact our
game program coordinators, Laurie Boyne at 918-51-2561 or
Liz Garrison at 918-770-3037, or at noahprogram@gmail.com).

Our deadline for placing ads in this year's program is Friday, August 16th.

If you'll let me know you want to place an ad, I can arrange to pick up your
payment & submission form or you can mail it (by August 17th) to

NOAH Football Program Book

NOAH Football Coaches Meeting Saturday Morning

Following the player/parents meeting this coming Saturday Coach Gastelum will conduct a meeting with the Junior High and elementary coaches to present and discuss the exciting new offense that the High School will initiate this year.

The meeting will be held at the same location as the player/parent meeting, East Tulsa Bible Chapel and will start about 11:00am.

The High School team had great success with the new offense at the TU Camp this summer and it should prove very effective for our Jr High and elementary programs as well.

It's also very helpful to promote continuity in the program so that as players and coaches advance through the football program they have a fundamental understanding of how the High School playbook works.

Please plan to attend this important meeting for all Junior High and elementary coaches.

Each athlete will have his own room key and will be responsible for keeping up with his key. If the key is lost the entire dorm must be rekeyed, so it is important that they are careful with them.
If your son loses his room key he will be responsible to pay the $90 fee that TU will require to replace the lock/key on his room. One of our coaches will supervise and help the guys keep up with their keys when the players are one the field and can't wear their key/lanyard. We haven't lost one yet. In recent years we have had a few pranks with keys being hidden.

If you feel the need to disrespect you teammates property then you should not attend camp and will be sent home.

Here are some tips for first timers:
They are fed very well at meal times. They can have as much as they want while they are in the cafeteria. They are not allowed to take any food out of the cafeteria. So around nine in the evening most are ready for pizza. A pizza can be ordered for $12 which can be shared between roommates if they don't want the entire pizza. So if you want pizza bring cash. They will also have gatorade for sale in the dorms

Cleats can't be worn in any of the buildings. This is strictly enforced. It would be wise to bring a pair of sandals/sliders and a string backpack or bag that they can carry their cleats or sliders in to and from sessions.

Do not bring clothing or items that display other team names or logos. You may wear NOAH logos and colors or TU logos and colors. They could use several changes of clothing everyday if they shower between sessions (which I am sure their roommates will greatly appreciate). They will need every t-shirt they bring and it would be unfortunate if the only clean shirt they have left is an Arkansas, OU, OSU, t-shirt that they won't be able to wear while at camp.

I will send out a message on the blog that will give the approximate time and location to pick up your son at the end of camp.

Discipline
Any serious violations of camp rules MAY result in immediate dismissal from camp with a refund.
