Equipment Manager Job Description

NOAH Equipment Manager

Job Description:
Be an example of godly attitudes to our players, coaches, parents, fans, and other volunteers – you represent NOAH and as such are a reflection of our coaching staff, team and most importantly our Lord.
Do your job as well as possible considering the time restraints that are a part of being a volunteer.
When there are items you are responsible for that you can not get done please secure someone else to cover that responsibility or notify Coach Blankenship or Coach Gastelum
Maintain organization of football equipment in the sheds and secure sheds following practices and games
Maintain and repair as necessary the operational condition of football equipment (including but not limited to – helmet hardware, shoulder pad hardware)
Maintain and transport support equipment (e.g. tackling dummies, footballs, vests) to and from the practice field - (Players can/will assist)
Transport ice chests/water jugs to and from practice field and games as needed (Players can/will assist)
Maintain and prepare 5 man sled for practice use per coaches request – secure sled following practice (Players can/will assist)
Check for trash left on the field or around shed (please inform the coaches if our players are leaving trash)
Wash blue targets once a week and towels as needed
Help with fitting and distribution of equipment
Put up 2 tents before practice (during summer/or if rain possible)
Take down and put away tents
Prepare Equipment bag or bags for games and scrimmages – check with coaches for items they might desire.
Transport Equipment bag or bags to and from games and scrimmages.
During games – equipment managers must maintain appropriate sideline decorum throughout the games (this includes not addressing officials in any way, not addressing the opposition’s players in any way, not offering advice or criticism to our players or coaches, being an encouragement and servant to players, coaches and officials)
During games – equipment manager should be ready to assist with equipment repair as quickly as possible if needed.
During games – equipment manager should have ready an extra kicking tee for field goals and kick offs
During games – equipment manager should set up the four tents for a locker room at all home games and away games if needed.
The Equipment Manager should be available to help other support staff as needed
Be a TEAM person – your role as a volunteer is essential but we function best when we are concerned for the excellence of the whole program
