NOAH Girls Volleyball Announcement

To all those interested in participating in NOAH girls Volleyball:

We are preparing for a new season of Noah Volleyball.  Please help us get this information out to all who may be interested.

We will have general skills training on Monday nights beginning May 13th from 5:00-7:00pm.  We will also have conditioning workouts on Tuesdays beginning May 15th from 5:00-6:00 or so.  We may go a bit longer some days.

All of the summer workouts are voluntary and free for the girls to attend and see if volleyball is the sport for them.  We will then have tryouts the first week of July and begin regular practices Mon, Tues, Thurs the next week.

Our NOAH home gym is the church gym at Christian Chapel, 7807 E 76th St, Tulsa. (use the NE entrance).

^^^FYI^^^ all girls will need a Medical release form to participate in conditioning as well as the regular season.  You can find the form on the Noah website under forms.  Please print it out and have it ready to turn in on the first day.  When it asked for grade:  it is asking for the grade the athlete will be in for the 2013-2014 school year.

If you have any questions please let me know.  We are excited for another great season!

Blessings,

Anna Paquette

Tackle Football

If you were not able to attend the meeting last Thursday night you may contact me for sign up information.

We are looking for a few volunteer positions that you might be able to assist us with.

Junior High coaches
Football Treasurer
Equipment Manager
Hydration Team Manager
Fundraising Coordinator

If you have any question about any of these positions please let me know.

Our football fees will stay the same for the 2013 season but the TU camp fees have increased to $150.00 per athlete.  I wanted to let everyone know of the changes asap so that everyone may plan.  The camp is an excellent opportunity for your sons and our football team as a hole.

NOAH Families and Friends,

Two days ago I sent out an email (see below) informing our entire organization about the loss of a dear NOAH family. Danny and Stacy Smith, along with their children lost their oldest daughter and sister, Chelsea Nicole Smith. Chelsea passed away after collapsing at home this past Saturday night. The family is having a private graveside service.

In addition to the loss of their daughter, the Smith family is now going through a very difficult financial time as they prepare for the expenses of the funeral. There is  a “Special Contribution Account” set up at the Bank of Oklahoma in memory of Chelsea Smith. Checks can be made out to: “The Chelsea Smith Memorial Fund” and dropped off at any BOK branch or brought to the memorial service on Friday (see information below).  Please pray about the opportunity to give to this family in their time of need and keep them supported with your prayers.

The family would like to invite anyone who would like to and is able to attend the memorial service, to join them tomorrow in celebrating Chelsea’s life. The service will be held at:

New Creation Church
(current NOAH baseball practice field and old HS football practice field)

NOAH Athletic Directors - Please send this email out through your various team distribution lists as well as any other that you feel would be applicable.
Thank You.

NOAH Families,

It is with great sadness that I send this email out.

A long time loyal NOAH family, Danny and Stacy Smith, along with their children lost their oldest daughter and sister, Chelsea Nicole Smith. Chelsea passed away after collapsing at home this past Saturday night. The family is still awaiting the final medical examiners report to determine the cause of death.

The Smith family has NOAH roots dating many years back. Stacy has volunteered continuously serving wherever asked. She currently serves on the Basketball Advisory Council and was the past Athletic Director of the NOAH Shooting Team. Her oldest son, Garron was on one of the first NOAH football teams, Kaylee is a current stand out basketball player on the NOAH JV girls team, both Kaden and Grant play NOAH elementary football, where their father assists as he can. In addition, Kaden plays NOAH basketball.

Chelsea was a beautiful, sweet young lady. She served whenever and wherever asked. I grew to know her as she served our football program as a water girl.  I would ask each of you to hold this family up in prayer as they navigate though what must surely be one of the most difficult times in any parents life. God is our refuge and our strength, a very present help in trouble.

In addition to the loss of their daughter, the Smith family is now going through a very difficult financial time as they prepare for the expenses of the funeral. There will be a memorial service in celebration of Chelsea’s life held at New Creation Church in the near future. I will send out information regarding the time and date as soon as it becomes available.
