Tulsa University Team Camp for High School Players

We will meet at the LaFortune Hall Parking Lot just north of the Reynolds Center at 1:00 pm on Sunday.   Be on time Do not arrive late.  Wear NOAH colors. Make sure you bring BIBLE, helmet, shoulder pads, girdle, cleats.  You will also need cash or a check made out to NOAH for $150.00.

WHAT TO BRING
· Bedding and towels (twin sheets, pillow)
Laundry and towel service will not be provided.
· Toiletries (shampoo, toothpaste, soap, etc.)
· Turf shoes, sneakers or football cleats
· Shorts, socks, jocks, and T-shirts for practice

Dorm Rules
· Lose your keys $90.00! *(Strictly enforced)
· You may not leave campus – (Quick 1 way ticket back home)
· Respect the property, do not damage and keep clean.
· Be in your rooms – start getting lights out @ 10:30
· NO CLEATS! “No where inside any building!”
· Refrain from wearing other college’s logos during camp

Practice Field Rules:

  •  High and hard – Thud it up
  •  7 on 7 – Tag Mode
  •  Listen to coaches, stop on whistle
  •  Stay back , give teams room to operate
  •  One Coach on defensive end of field
  •  No helmet to helmet contact
  •  Keep people off the ground
  •  No profanity, trash talking, or arguing calls to camp staff
  •  Sideline – No helmets on the ground and always face the field

Cafeteria Rules
· Eat at designated times – Be with your group (Late people will wait)
· “NO” Personal bottles in Cafeteria
· Respectful to workers- SAY THANK YOU
· Put trays/trash in proper place when leaving
· NO HATS/ CLEATS IN CAFETERIA / DORMS / ATHLETIC COMPLEX
· HS Coaches – please stay with your kids in line

Each athlete will have his own room key and will be responsible for keeping up with his key. If the key is lost the entire dorm must be rekeyed, so it is important that they are careful with them.
If your son loses his room key he will be responsible to pay the $90 fee that TU will require to replace the lock/key on his room. One of our coaches will supervise and help the guys keep up with their keys when the players are one the field and can't wear their key/lanyard. We haven't lost one yet. In recent years we have had a few pranks with keys being hidden.

If you feel the need to disrespect you teammates property then you should not attend camp and will be sent home.

Here are some tips for first timers:
They are fed very well at meal times. They can have as much as they want while they are in the cafeteria. They are not allowed to take any food out of the cafeteria. So around nine in the evening most are ready for pizza. A pizza can be ordered for $12 which can be shared between roommates if they don't want the entire pizza. So if you want pizza bring cash. They will also have gatorade for sale in the dorms

Cleats can't be worn in any of the buildings. This is strictly enforced. It would be wise to bring a pair of sandals/sliders and a string backpack or bag that they can carry their cleats or sliders in to and from sessions.

Do not bring clothing or items that display other team names or logos. You may wear NOAH logos and colors or TU logos and colors. They could use several changes of clothing everyday if they shower between sessions (which I am sure their roommates will greatly appreciate). They will need every t-shirt they bring and it would be unfortunate if the only clean shirt they have left is an Arkansas, OU, OSU, t-shirt that they won't be able to wear while at camp.

I will send out a message on the blog that will give the approximate time and location to pick up your son at the end of camp.

Discipline
Any serious violations of camp rules MAY result in immediate dismissal from camp with a refund.

If you have any questions you may call me at 918-269-7906

NOAH Girls Volleyball Announcement

To all those interested in participating in NOAH girls Volleyball:

We are preparing for a new season of Noah Volleyball.  Please help us get this information out to all who may be interested.

We will have general skills training on Monday nights beginning May 13th from 5:00-7:00pm.  We will also have conditioning workouts on Tuesdays beginning May 15th from 5:00-6:00 or so.  We may go a bit longer some days.

All of the summer workouts are voluntary and free for the girls to attend and see if volleyball is the sport for them.  We will then have tryouts the first week of July and begin regular practices Mon, Tues, Thurs the next week.

Our NOAH home gym is the church gym at Christian Chapel, 7807 E 76th St, Tulsa. (use the NE entrance).

^^^FYI^^^ all girls will need a Medical release form to participate in conditioning as well as the regular season.  You can find the form on the Noah website under forms.  Please print it out and have it ready to turn in on the first day.  When it asked for grade:  it is asking for the grade the athlete will be in for the 2013-2014 school year.

If you have any questions please let me know.  We are excited for another great season!

Blessings,

Anna Paquette

NOAH Families and Friends,

Two days ago I sent out an email (see below) informing our entire organization about the loss of a dear NOAH family. Danny and Stacy Smith, along with their children lost their oldest daughter and sister, Chelsea Nicole Smith. Chelsea passed away after collapsing at home this past Saturday night. The family is having a private graveside service.

In addition to the loss of their daughter, the Smith family is now going through a very difficult financial time as they prepare for the expenses of the funeral. There is  a “Special Contribution Account” set up at the Bank of Oklahoma in memory of Chelsea Smith. Checks can be made out to: “The Chelsea Smith Memorial Fund” and dropped off at any BOK branch or brought to the memorial service on Friday (see information below).  Please pray about the opportunity to give to this family in their time of need and keep them supported with your prayers.

The family would like to invite anyone who would like to and is able to attend the memorial service, to join them tomorrow in celebrating Chelsea’s life. The service will be held at:

New Creation Church
(current NOAH baseball practice field and old HS football practice field)

NOAH Athletic Directors - Please send this email out through your various team distribution lists as well as any other that you feel would be applicable.
Thank You.

NOAH Families,

It is with great sadness that I send this email out.

A long time loyal NOAH family, Danny and Stacy Smith, along with their children lost their oldest daughter and sister, Chelsea Nicole Smith. Chelsea passed away after collapsing at home this past Saturday night. The family is still awaiting the final medical examiners report to determine the cause of death.

The Smith family has NOAH roots dating many years back. Stacy has volunteered continuously serving wherever asked. She currently serves on the Basketball Advisory Council and was the past Athletic Director of the NOAH Shooting Team. Her oldest son, Garron was on one of the first NOAH football teams, Kaylee is a current stand out basketball player on the NOAH JV girls team, both Kaden and Grant play NOAH elementary football, where their father assists as he can. In addition, Kaden plays NOAH basketball.

Chelsea was a beautiful, sweet young lady. She served whenever and wherever asked. I grew to know her as she served our football program as a water girl.  I would ask each of you to hold this family up in prayer as they navigate though what must surely be one of the most difficult times in any parents life. God is our refuge and our strength, a very present help in trouble.

There will be a memorial service in celebration of Chelsea’s life held at New Creation Church in the near future. I will send out information regarding the time and date as soon as it becomes available.

Thursday's Varsity Game- HELP!

I was just informed that Broken Arrow will not be able to provide concessions for our game on

Thursday night.  I will need at least four volunteers to help provide concessions for the game.

I would like to have two gentlemen among the four to help with the lifting.

Please let me know asap if you would be willing to help.  We can set the tables up on or near the track

so that you would not be hidden from the game.

I will take care of purchasing the concession items so I just need help with the set up/break down and

operating the stand during the game.

Lets think of this as a mini fund raising opportunity.  The field rental fees increased this year so this will

help to cover that cost.

Hoodies Anyone?

I have had several inquiries about ordering hoodies.  I would like to make sure that we have enough interest before we take orders.  I have found a supplier that would have the hoodies completed by our first home game if we will order this week.

The hoodie and pant is a Gildan, 12oz weight hoodie which is nice and thick.

The hoodie (with logo) would sell for $25 and the pants $20.

If you would like to order a NOAH Football Hoodie please reply to this email asap.

If we have enough interest I will let you know.

Game Program Ad Assistance!

We received an ad submission from First Security Home Mortgage & worked with them to design a full-page color ad which would be a great support to our football program.  But we don’t know WHICH FOOTBALL PLAYER contacted First Security Home Mortgage (at 71st & Yale) to sell this ad.  We need to get a final commitment from this company & it would be very helpful if the family that sold the ad originally could contact First Security again to close this ad sale.
If you sold the ad, please contact either Tammy Dudley at 918-688-8825 or Liz Garrison at 918-770-3037 right away to help us with this important sale.
Thanks so much!
